About Dr. Fox
Dr. David Fox is a locally and nationally recognized, board-certified vascular surgeon with more than 28 years of clinical experience treating a broad range of vascular disorders. Widely regarded as a leader in minimally invasive, image-guided care, he specializes in venous disease, arterial conditions, dialysis access, and embolization-based therapies — delivering advanced treatment with a strong emphasis on safety, durability, and rapid recovery.
Dr. Fox founded Fox Vein & Vascular to provide highly personalized, compassionate care tailored to the unique anatomy and clinical needs of each patient. His practice reflects a commitment to offering the most advanced and safest outpatient and office-based vascular treatments available today.
He currently serves as an Attending Vascular Surgeon at Lenox Hill Hospital and is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery at the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell, continuing a long-standing career in academic medicine and surgical education. He is Registered in Physician Vascular Interpretation (RPVI), reflecting advanced mastery of venous and arterial duplex ultrasound — the foundation of precise diagnosis and durable outcomes.
Areas of Expertise
Venous Disease & Vein Treatment
Chronic venous insufficiency, varicose & spider veins, ultrasound-guided diagnosis, and minimally invasive office-based vein procedures including endovenous laser therapy.
Peripheral Artery Disease (PAD)
Diagnosis and treatment of claudication and limb ischemia with arterial ultrasound, physiologic testing, and minimally invasive image-guided arterial interventions.
Dialysis Access Creation & Management
AV fistula and graft creation, salvage of non-maturing or failing access, and duplex-guided access surveillance — a subject on which Dr. Fox has lectured nationally and internationally.
Embolization-Based Therapies
Genicular artery embolization (GAE) for knee osteoarthritis and image-guided embolization for chronic joint pain, plantar fasciitis, and inflammation — performed in outpatient, office-based settings.
