What are hand veins?
Hand veins refer to the surface veins that are visible on the top of your hand. As we age there is a natural thinning that takes place on your skin. Because of this hand veins become more visible as we age.
What causes unsightly hand veins?
In most cases, unsightly hand veins are healthy and not diseased, as in the case of varicose veins in the leg. The most typical cause of unwanted hand veins is the thinning of skin and subcutaneous tissue that comes with age. Without that youthful cushioning, the veins begin to appear more obvious and bulge.

How long does the hand vein treatment last?
The results from the hand vein treatment are permanent. Unlike varicose veins in the leg, unwanted hand veins are not abnormal veins, thus the likelihood of new veins developing in your hands is very low.
